Meet Karen Mellozzo
Certified: Cannabis Coach
Graduated: 2022
Background and Qualifications: I am a licensed clinical social worker who came to the Cannabis Coaching Institute in a quest to learn more about the use of cannabis for mental health and healing.

Why did you train as a Cannabis Coach?
Cannabis heals!
Cannabis is a powerful medication that is now beginning to be seen in the mental health space to help people overcome difficulties and more traditional talk therapy settings.
A cannabis-assisted session can help people move past sources of resistance and can achieve therapeutic gains that would otherwise take many years to achieve without it.
Why did you join the Cannabis Coaching Institute?
As a clinical social worker and a trauma survivor, I realized how effective cannabis was in helping me process trauma. It was far more effective than any other medication or treatment.
I knew I needed to learn everything I possibly could, and I started at the Cannabis Coaching Institute. I drove in and never looked back.

Tell us about your experience as a CCI student.
CCI gave me the education, support, and encouragement to embrace what I was discovering with cannabis.
It gave me the confidence to pursue what I was doing with cannabis and validated how it was helping me to heal.
Training at the Cannabis Coaching Insitute helped me to deal with my own stigma around cannabis use and to understand the powerful impact of this life-changing medicine.
I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with the education that I received at CCI and I’m still figuring that out, but CCI was an amazing start. I am interested in developing my own model of cannabis-assisted psychotherapy, and I am pursuing more education from others in this field.
My personal email is [email protected]. I would love to talk with anyone interested in this subject.
